I have tried many "keto" pre-made bread mixes, and Scotty's is hands-down the BEST I have ever tried. Both the texture and the flavor of this product was on point! This bread mix is also so versatile...I played with mine and added a handful of savory ingredients to create an Italian-inspired loaf; and then made croutons with the leftovers. Don't hesitate to stock up on a few of these mixes. You'll be so happy you did!
I've gotta say, I was really skeptical about how this would taste. My husband is really trying hard to stay on an extremely low-carb diet for health reasons. He really has missed bread, so I saw this and thought I'd give it a try. He's kind of picky when it comes to "fake bread", or "fake muffins". He said he'd prefer to do without than to have an imitation. So I made a loaf of this bread last night and didn't tell him a think about it. While it was still warm, I buttered a slice and gave it to him. He asked if I had found a new bread recipe. I said yes, and asked what he thought of it. He said "It's great, but you know I shouldn't be having bread on a low-carb diet.". Wow! THAT's a testimonial right there!!! It was really awesome! I wish I could give this product 10 stars! It's really THAT good!
I started my Keto journey a couple months ago. Since then, I've been hunting for Keto alternatives to some of my favorite foods. This is my FAVORITE Keto bread. I tried all sorts of low carb premade breads only to be disappointed. Some were better than most. Some definitely had no taste - almost couldn't eat them and some just had a little too many carbs/calories with fairly good taste. This one is perfect for me - zero net carbs, low calories, super easy to make, and it's the perfect keto bread in my opinion. It's a little on the expensive side but most Keto alternatives are so it's to be expected. I'm still new to keto so I haven't done a ton of research on the ingredients but I think they also hit all the marks. I can pronounce all the ingredients which is always the first thing I look at. I'd definitely buy again. I won't bother to hunt for another Keto bread. This one is it for me. I make a loaf, freeze it, and take out only what I need. I took a piece out this morning and it's just as soft as it was when first baked. This one is a keeper for me! Remember this is keto bread so it's not going to be the exact same as your high carb bread but honestly I can't tell the difference enough for it to matter. Even if I ever stop Keto, I'm going to stay with this bread.
Normally don't leave reviews but after making my loaf, I just had to: 1. Unlike mug bread, it's not eggy and the texture is white bread to cake like. Great sponge feel and bite on this bread. 2. I've so far had this with peanut butter (excellent), as a grilled cheese sandwich (would not flatten or smoosh in the same way standard bread does but did toast ok), and with a smashing tuna and egg salad. Won't be repeating the grilled cheese but yes to the other two. 3. Why? This bread has mega fiber, like I decided that at 45 cals per slice I could maybe pig out a little but I struggled to finish my 3rd piece of bread. The fact that it's got 13g of fiber is no joke. When I had it the next time, I just went with one slice and the tuna salad, filled me up nicely. 4. This bread is nostalgic and best for people who don't like their food to lie to them. I'm not a zucchini zoodle person, if I want noodles then I want actual noodles. If you're missing that feel of a white bread sandwich then this is the bread for you. 5. Yes, it's pricey but it will fill you up. 6. How it keeps. I haven't tried freezing the left over bread, and it's taking me a week to finish this. I didn't preslice it and after wrapping the bread in parchment paper then foil, the side that was sliced from was a little harder (this happens with regular bread too and I don't like it). Instead the next time I sliced it, I put the sliced side face down and wrapped it completely in the parchment and foil. 7. If you make this, plan on eating it everyday till you finish it to get the best quality. 8. The next day my mouth was super dry, more so than normal. I had this vision of having a half sandwich and soup, but honestly it's so filling that's not gonna happen. I'm pretty glad I found this as I can't contemplate another thing of mug bread (too eggy at times). I'm quite happy sticking to keto with my usual meat+veg or cheese+veg format but once in a while, it feels nice to get that mouth feel of eating bread.
So I gotta tell you about this bread mix! This is hands-down the very best gluten free bread. Top that off with zero net grams carbs? We've got a winner on our hands here. I suffer from celiac disease and I have personally tried 40 or 50 different gluten free breads, both pre-made as well as bake at home. This bread is so easy to make. (I do add 1/2 tsp of maple syrup just to ensure a good rise) This bread is easy to mix, I do it with a wooden spoon and a little elbow grease. I spray a little cooking spray on top of the loaf, cut a few slits with a very sharp knife and apply a small amount of Celtic salt to the top before setting to rise. I find 30-45 minutes to be all that is necessary to get a good rise. I am a Celiac and am now on a low carb diet. This "bread" is a God send. This comes as close to a "real loaf of bread" as is possible. if you have any doubts just try this bread. Look at the photos. The rise is spectacular, the crumb is amazing. The only fine-textured, gluten free ,0 carb bread on the planet! Take it from me, "THERE IS NO BETTER BREAD."
I have celiac and because gluten free things are pretty disgusting, I eat a mostly ketogenic diet. I was somewhat non-compliant in the beginning of my diagnosis, so even though bread is poison to me, I kept trying to eat it. This means I really remember what real, delicious bread tastes like. I finally became too sick to tolerate any gluten at all, so now I have tried every kind of bread, crackers, mix that's out there and while some are tolerable, most are downright disgusting. I have no idea what supernatural forces came together to create this bread, but whatever they are, I am HERE FOR IT. This bread is very very good and the closest thing I have eaten to actual bread in years and years. Also, I'm not really a review writer, but doing this felt like a moral imperative for all of the celiacs and keto folks out there. I ordered a second pack after observing that it actually rose, and another when I tasted it. No i'm buying stock in the company haha. A few thoughts/tips: 1. this tastes good, texture is a little spongy -- it is reminiscent of wonder white bread 😍 and has elements of the texture of a popover. 2. I used butter to grease the pan. 3. This won't seem like traditional dough-- more like batter bread. definitely grease the spatula when you are transferring to the pan. 4. If you're keto and you read the review that said this raised blood sugar, note that the person added a bunch of things to it, so my advice is check for yourself. 5. Some others commented on the cost, but it's worth every penny to be able to eat bread and not feel like you're choking on sawdust. good luck! enjoy!
We are a family of four and are all gluten-free. Partly because of allergies but also due to the health benefits. We have two very young children that are very picky when it comes to food. Obviously as a mother it's challenging to come up with foods that everyone will like and they end up making different things for everyone for dinner. What is so special about this gluten-free bread is that everybody in my family enjoys it. My kids asked me for it the very next morning and so naturally that is a confirmation of the quality of this product. I've already shared it with different family and friends knowing that they will have just as positive experience as we have had. and it's crazy to think it's taken someone this long to launch a product like this that we all really need. Update: Made this bread several times now. Decided to test my blood sugar levels before passing on to my glucose-sensitive uncle and cousin. Pictures included are my results from before I ate the bread, at 30 minutes after, and 60 minutes after. It went from 86-87. No spike! And hardly any change at all. I would guess anyone who claims it caused a spike, it is because they added extra ingredients. Also tested my wife with the same result. I'm now comfortable sharing with everyone. Everyone deserves this bread!! I was unsure about this keto bread mix because it does not have gluten or almond flour. I've never seen a bread like this before but I thought it was worth a shot because my kids did not like any other gluten free bread I made for them. I also like that this is zero carb bread which is much healthier for everybody in my family. I am not kidding that my 5-year-old who is the pickiest eater in our house absolutely devoured the first slice of bread. And he has been asking for it everyday for lunch. I'm so relieved to know that I can feed my children and my family bread that is actually good for them. There is a lot of fiber and protein in each slice and after eating it you don't get this feeling of heaviness that you do from a regular bread. The texture is as soft as a regular white bread that I remember from my childhood. It is moist and fluffy and flexible so that you can pretty much put anything on it. It also keeps very well the next day whether you put it in the fridge or keep it on the counter. You wouldn't know the difference. we have already purchased six bags and will be a customer for life. I'm looking forward to this being on subscribe and save so we can just have it delivered automatically.
I am completely blown away by how delicious and moist this bread is. my family and I have been eating gluten-free for many years and we have tried almost every gluten-free bread on the market. It's usually dense, hard, gritty and tasteless. I'm not kidding we almost gave up on bread altogether because it just was not a pleasant experience. I was searching for a keto bread and stumbled upon Scotty's everyday. This thing packs a punch with fiber and protein which I know is super healthy for my husband and my kids. And to top it all off it is a zero carb bread. I can't believe that this is even real. Looking forward to seeing what other products this company comes out with.
Best gluten free bread ever! It’s not gritty at all like other gluten free breads and it holds up just like a white bread. I made French toast with a few pieces in the morning and it was amazing. It didn’t fall apart and it tasted like a regular French toast. I bought 5 more bags to try different things with it! You’ll be so amazed you won’t even know you’re eating gluten free!
I think I've finally found my very favorite Keto bread thanks to Scotty's Everyday! Hallelujah! I admit I was a bit skeptical at first since the other brands I've tried have disappointed me so much with poor taste and texture. Not this one! I'm so happy that it bakes, looks, and tastes like real bread! I can't believe it's gluten free too! I'm going to order more since it says you can use this mix to do a keto pizza dough too!
This is by far the best tasting and textured keto bread, and product, I’ve ever had. I work in the Natural Food industry and have tried many keto products from bread to nutritional bars to ice cream at all the huge food trade shows. No other product I’ve tried has tasted as good as Scotty’s Everyday. It tastes and feels like a normal non-keto loaf of bread. Soft, chewy... Smother with some grass fed butter and next thing you know, you’ve eaten 1/2 of the bread. Looking forward to their next innovation!
