Hi! Purchase and delivery of the watch was quick and smooth. Everything you can require from modern company handling the customers fast and with proper quality. Payment, tracking, mail communication- everything all right. Product came well packed- in handy but secure cardboard box. Inside was plastic container holding watch - obviously nicely secured by foam and foil to keep the purchase safe. Watch itself is well done, has good quality and looks fantastic- please keep in mind that everyone likes different designs :) Steel is smooth, every bit is working flawlessly so far. Mechanism was running since I opened the box, the date/time setting is easy to perform (also the manual in English is included, but operation is similar with any watch you ever had or will have :) ) Tools to shorten and remove the bracelet are included. My wrist is kinda slim, I removed few links but fit is spot on, also worth mentioning- micro regulation on the bracelet- few points to add or reduce mm here and there. I was never a fan of bracelet but to be honest- this one will probably change my mind. I also purchased vintage leather strap on local auction - 20 mm standard, which fits the watch perfectly- if you are looking for such vibes, they are also easily achievable. Steeldive team- thank you very much for your excellent product and service. Dear future customers- just go for it- grab your favourite design and be proud of your new watch within just week or two, without throwing tonz of money. Always you can just buy few more pieces at Steeldive ;) I made quite a lot of research before purchasing this piece, but I am no watch enthusiast or fanatic- I enjoy nice design and good quality of watch. That and even more is clearly here. Pictures were taken with factory bracelet and with my own-purchased leather strap. Cheers from Poland
This is a beautiful and accurate watch. The blue face and bezel are gorgeous. The hands and markers and nicely detailed. The lume is very bright and lasts all night. The movement is not a certified chronometer, but it is as accurate as one. The rotating bezel is crisp and has no discernible backplay. The 5 link bracelet is very comfortable. What a great buy for under $100!
Holly Heck! COSC grade. See: https://www.watchgecko.com/blogs/magazine/guide-cosc -4 to +6 is COSC grade. Put SD1953 on Watch Accuracy Meter available on Google PlayStore. SD1953 wears very comfortably on the 3-link bracelet. Get a watch store to adjust it to fit well. I've ordered the SD1934T Explorer homage that has an exceptionally legible dial on it at 39mm. 42mm SD1979 wears well on a tropic strap. 40mm SD1953 wears well on a fitted oyster bracelet. NH35 movement in SD1979 and SD1953 has been reliable and COSC accurate in a USD$100 watch. Selling other watches I have like Casio Edifice and Olympic Malibu to fund Steeldives. Best I've had. There is a reason Steeldive make homages to Rolex and Seiko and Squale designs. They're all good. I would not get anything bigger than an 42mm as it would look like a hockey puck on my 7.5" wrist.
Very impressed with SD1953. Sits well on my 7.5" wrist. Had two links removed and mid position on the clasp adjustment to fit well. Bought an SD1979 before with Engineer 5 link band and was impressed with this. Prefer SD1953 with Oyster 3 link band. Put SD1979 on a tropic rubber strap for a better fit. Will try SD1953 on a NATO strap next. Keeps to a minute a month with a daily wind as a sedentary office desk worker not moving around much for the movement. Get a watch store to remove links if you're not confident using the link removal tool that is supplied with the SD1953 in its case.
