They work better than my other cheap scissors.

I'm very pleased with this combination of scissors and cutter so far. I haven't had scissors in the past which were able to slice through tape and sticky items so easily without it adhering to the blade and becoming problematic the more often I would cut through them. These aren't heavy-duty enough to compare to poultry scissors but these do the job as far as most arts and crafts and standard scissors are concerned. I have used them (as well as the retractable blade) on thin cardboard with no problems.
