Finally a brush that works to remove matt's! I have a long haired cat that never learned to groom himself so he always has matt's. I have a drawer full of brushes that didn't work. This brush is amazing! I got all those matts (see picture) off in less than 10 minutes. He didn't seem to mind it as much as he did some of the other brushes. It also removed all of his undercoat and left his fur feeling really soft. I am so glad I found this brush and for such a reasonable price.
This brush gets the job done. Comfortable grip, sturdy dual sided head. Has a little give/rotation to help prevent yanking if it gets stuck on a clump or thick patch of hair. Depending on your dogs coat thickness you may need to take shorter brush stokes in the beginning but this is by far the best brush for my Alaskan Malamutes (I have 3 and they each have different coats). All the hair in the photos is from one dog in one brushing session.
I bought this for my shi-poo pup. His winter coat is in and thick, matting a hot mess. It's different from his silk like puppy coat which was easy to maintain. His fur is currently very thick, like wool. He tolerates this comb for a few minutes. The comb definitely needs better instructions since it will pull fur unexpectedly and I may be using it incorrectly. Great price and it's a high quality comb. Very sturdy and gets the undercoat fur. The teeth of the comb do not appear to scratch the doggy skin.
I brushed my two kitties with this as soon as I got the brush yesterday. They were just a little hesitant as it must have felt different to them. After a few strokes Isabelle let me get scads and scads of hair and she laid on her back so I could do her tummy. She slept like a baby last nite I noticed. So relaxed. It must have felt really good on her. LoverBoy did well too. His hair isn’t as long as Isabelle’s but I know he liked the new brush too. I’m so glad I got it for them both to use. We have a brush that work good but not as good as this new brush I’m writing about. Thank you seller
FINALLY. A brush that actually works for my fuzzy bear/pupper. My pup Dwight is Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees and his hair ridiculous. It's fluffy, coarse, super thick and matts so easily. I tried a rake....I tried a slicker brush. While they did work, even going slow there was lots of hair pulling and Dwight HATED it. This brush works! And Dwight didn't seem to mind it either. His butt is now fluffy again.
Our very old long haired kitty has stopped grooming herself. Up until recently we were able to just cut the mats out of her and she didn't mind it but she wised up to us and now wont let us near her with the scissors, we felt horrible amd know sje had tp be miserable too. This comb has taken 80% of her mats out and what is left on her tummy she now let's us comb her to get them out. This is a huge relief to us and I'm sure to her as well as she live out her last days. Thank you.
I used this on my corgi and it took care of his stubborn undercoat . When I would brush him with a normal brush 3 times a weel I would get an extra dog in fur each time , when using this deshedder I get three dogs LOL . I think it is more comfortable for him as the teeth are rounded over and can get deeper in his coat without scratching his skin ( something I would have to be careful with while using the regular brushes) He sheds so much less now which makes my A/C filter, carpets ,floors ,vacuum and myself much happier
I got my first golden pup this year. It was also the first dog I've had that sheds. While looking for brushes, this popped up too, so I decided to give it a try. OMG! It completely transformed my baby. It was easy to use, going in small bits and only letting the round part (never the hook) get anywhere near her skin. I'd never gotten her undercoat before, so the poor pooch still had thick clumps of left-over winter coat. Over the course of about a week, between this and the brush with the retractable teeth, my girl is a shimmering, smooth, sleek, glossy, golden-girl. As a bonus, I don't have to sweep all the puppy hair tumbleweeds anymore. Would definitely recommend.
