I bought the book for my grandchildren, but I think I enjoyed it just as much as them;-) My 21 month old grandson lost interest after a few pages, but I loved it to the end! I'm sure the little ones will enjoy it more when they're 3/3+. Wonderful lessons of supporting one another, never giving up, and it just warms your heart.
Ricky the Rock that Couldn't Roll is about a rock that is flat on one side, so he can't join his friends in rolling down the hill. Even though Ricky is different, and isn't able to do the same things as the other rocks by himself, the friends learn that with a little kindness and help, EVERYONE can join in and have fun!I have a loved one with Cerebral Palsey and she saw herself in this book. She knows how hard it is to just fit in and have fun. This book helps all kids be inclusive and caring. There's nothing overt or preachy about the story. It's just a good children's book.
