I was able to use this on a new pair of Clarks ankle boots they were comfortable from the very first time I wore them because I was able to add a little stretch to the toe space and change the angle the heel of the shoe hit on my ankle.

I would say you could stretch a nice leather shoe (AE) at least a half size in length and a full letter in width if you're wondering about capabilities.

Over the years I've had the experience of finding problems in a shoe after purchase, such as an internal seam over a toe that was undetected during the store test. I had accumulated seven such pairs of shoes, all of the same model and brand but made in different years. It took two cycles with this shoe stretcher to resolve a problem in the right shoe of one such pair, which resulted in me being able to wear the shoes during daily activities for the first time. This was definitely a worthwhile investment.

The shoes fit fine but after an hour of wearing them my right ...You only get one shoe stretcher which can be used on right or left shoe. If you were wanting to do both shoes at the same time you better order two.

this is a very sturdy and rugged tool and if you're now careful it's easy to overdo it and mess up a good pair of shoes. I recommend stretching slowly or in phases to make sure you're not damaging your shoes. Frequently check the seems while stretching, especially the connection between the show sole and shoe body.

Over the years, we have had two or three shoe stretchers.. wooden, plastic etc. they always break, the threads strip etc. We decided to fork over the extra money for a good one, as my husband had two new pair of shoes that he likes, that were just a tad too small. This is a really sturdy, professional type shoe stretcher. Even he was impressed (he's an engineer). I expect it's the last one we'll ever need...

I have bought so many shoe stretchers for wide feet over the years, and all have been flimsy, or cheaply made with bad hardware or structural instability. These are so strong. They work amazingly well. I am so happy I finally decided to go with it and paid for these
