Absolutely love the mega zero 2.0 bought this printer on a whim with absolutely no research because of the cheep pricing on a black Friday Facebook ad (never had any 3d experience) and this printer is amazing put it together in about 45 minutes leveled the bed and away to go haven't had what I'd call a bad print yet couple minor blips in the putter shell but honestly think that from the filament not the printer
I am really surprised by quality of this printer. In my job I use Prusa MK3S and I didn't see differences about quality of printing. Of course Prusa had better solution abought leveling. But in last winter promotion this printer is the best choice. I love my print in home even better than printed in my job.
I did a fair bit of research before buying my first 3D printer and the AnyCubic Mega Zero 2.0 looked a very good buy. I ordered from Amazon and the printer was delivered the next day. I had a lot of problems with it, the Z axis would not 'home' and then the filament stopped extruding, so I returned the item. Not to be deterred I ordered a second Mega Zero 2.0 from Amazon, and it has been faultless from day 1. For ease of building and setting up 5 stars, for print quality 5 stars, for low operating noise 5 stars and for build quality 5 stars. If you are just beginning in 3D printing and want a hassle free introduction, I certainly recommend the AnyCubic Mega Zero 2.0, it ticks all the boxes.
Bought a Mega Zero 1.0 about a year or so ago, and was fairly pleased with it’s quality considering it’s price, but the lack of a heated bed became an issue since a lot of large prints were warping a little, preventing me from taking on many large projects. So, while looking into new printers recently, I noticed the Mega Zero 2.0 for sale, and it’s price point is the same as the 1.0 was last year, and it had a heated bed as well as a magnetic removable print surface, which were things that guaranteed the improvement I needed. I ordered mine at the end of last week, and it arrived first thing this week, and once it was out of the box, it was assembled and levelled in 30-40 minutes, and because of previously using the 1.0 model, I was already fully familiar with how the system worked. At the time of writing this, I’ve printed a number of small parts and also a full assembled project, and I have to say, the print quality is exactly as I’d hoped it’d be, perhaps even better. The only real improvement I’d make (and this is something I actually did do with both the 1.0 and 2.0 models) is to replace the hot-end with an aftermarket one, I found the original hot-end gave me a little trouble, but I wouldn’t call it a dealbreaker since I was HEAVILY using mine. All in all, I could have bought a more expensive model, but why would I? This has a large enough bed for most projects, is finally heated, has a magnetic surface for easy print removal, and is just overall decent for the incredible value for money. If I did have more money, I would have bought 2 of them, now that I’ve seen what it could do. The first photo is of the 2.0(left) and 1.0(right) models side by side, second is mid-print on something printing right now, and the third picture is a revolver I printed out in a day, out of dark silver silk PLA and Wood-PLA pistol grips for realism, I thing it’s quality is a good example for the printer’a print quality even at 0.2mm layer height.
Wow highly recommended for the price. Ben Heck turned me on to this. The features are really neat like the magnetic sheet bed plate and the spool hanger. All the software was included, directions were simple, assembled in about 20 mins, spent about an hour understanding the system, followed all the instructions and default settings and my test model owl came out very nice. Really it's incredible the quality for a beginner machine. You can print down to 0.1mm layers but really 0.2mm looks plenty nice for the time spent and 0.3mm for less showy parts. The default speed was 40mm/s which is a little slow. I've cranked it to 100mm/s but it does start to get sloppy on the settings I have. The precision of the unit really doesn't seem to be a problem here, I'm sure you could print good quality at 100mm/s if you tuned the settings. 60mm/s seems pretty safe at default settings and even around 90mm/s seems reasonable with a few minor tweaks. I'd definitely buy another one. One minor note is the firmware seems a little buggy here and there. Once in a while between jobs I've seen strange behavior before printing like randomly extruding or an axis indexing for no reason, but a simple restart seems to fix it. Seems like it coincides when I select 10% infill for prototypes? But minor bugs are no issue. I'm no pro but I'd highly recommend for the casual household and probably even any regular hobbyist.
Just got the Mega zero 2.0 took about 15 min to put together and 5-10 to set up and level. Poof printing I am got my first OWL and it looks dam good almost like my 3d printer 3 feet away in 1/4 the time. Tiny bit of stringing and one little bump on looks like the 30-35 layer other then that SUPER GOOD if I had the $$$$ during the evil COV 19 I would order 1 more today. Thank you any cubic for making a good easy product to print and set up ( PS TY to the quality control person ). Might be needing 10- 20 spool's now if it keep's being this easy. TY AGAIN this printer is a must buy for the price. 10/10.
