Just had to replace the lcd screen which was a painless job , only down part was waiting so long for it to arrive. But understandable parts in China being shipped and delivered to the u.s. is a trip . That being said this thing is still pumping out top quality prints ! Hopefully I can see what there larger resin printers do in the future, budget allowing!!
I was shocked by the quality and ease of use. If I had one complain it would be that the build plate is too small. You can easily print 6 D&D models with their 25mm bases, but if you're going to print a large bust, giant dragon, or a tank (Space Marine Impulsor), you may want to get a larger printer.
I cannot understate how impressed I am with the Photon Mono. The whole process was incredibly easy, from setting up the printer through to executing my first print. I highly recommend purchasing the wash & cure station, it makes cleaning and curing prints a breeze. The detail in the prints is phenomenal for the price. The Photon workshop software is very straightforward and works well. For the print shown in the photos I printed it at 20 microns (0.020mm) using the following settings: Resin type: Grey Layer thickness: 0.020 Normal Exposure time: 12.00 Off Time: 6.50 Bottom exposure time: 95.00 Bottom Layers: 8 If you would like to see more settings for the various resin types, I recommend referring to the spreadsheet uploaded to the Anycubic reddit forum. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase, thank you!
Brand new to printing, first machine the mono was receive a couple weeks ago. This machine came professionally packed, set up took a few min and I was up and printing. The detail in the print is amazing, clean up negligible. I am beyond impressed, now I am wondering what the difference between the 2k mono and the 4k mono x really would be? I researched, reviewed and learned about a few printers for a couple years. Used a PLA for some things but was never satisfied with miniature prints. Anycubic Mono came out, reviews were good and they had a sale, I could not be more pleased and satisfied!! The prints are incredible, detail amazing, print time is fast, software is easy to use, and the only setting I changed was a little longer base exposure time. It prints perfect right out of the box! This is the printer I will buy again and recommend to anyone new or seasoned to 3D printing!!
My first go at resin printing although I have the 4Max Pro too. Setup is very quick and first prints look fabulous. The washing/curing is a minus point, but I've got the wash/cure machine so this helps a lot. Make space for your new printing setup and you won't be disappointed. Thoroughly recommend
I was new to 3D Printing, but have been a long time hobbyists. I wanted to get into printing to help save money. I also wanted to develop and print my own parts, as opposed to continually buying from other retailers. In looking at options in the industry, everything kept bringing me back to the new Anycubic Mono line. For costs and introduction I went with the Anycubic Photon Mono, while I really wanted to get the Mono X. I also got the wash and cure station. When the printer arrived, I was able to easily get the bed leveled, install the Anycubic Software on my laptop, and begin using the printer. The test prints came out quick. I would strongly encourage anyone to buy this printer. I have had nothing but success with my prints, and can't wait to continue to grow my skills with printing and untap the potential of this machine. I also can not speak highly enough of the Anycubic Wash and cure station.
