Omg...this thing this thing!!! ...be prepared!!! I took my time putting it together!!! The crazy part was the screws that were meant to use in the back of the monitor to clamp were to long!!! Luckily the screws I took off to replace the monitor piece worked!!! It was worth the trouble...make sure to tighten everything!!!!! Love it!!!!
This wall mount is great --- I bought two single mounts since I wanted a dual monitor setup. They carry a version that is built to handle two monitors, but the only flaw in this product is its cable channeling. I wanted a clean look and, between the two monitors, I have at least 5 cables running out the back. The wall mount or desktop mount both have the same system. It's good and does the job, but it can only handle two regular sized cables; I got a third cable through that is smaller but it's barely fitting. I wish the cabling went out through the bottom instead of the side, but I got it to work. And frankly, I like the freedom that having a separate arm holding each monitor. As you can see in my picture, I had to drill a tons of holes to find the stud. Use toggle bolts if you don't want to drill to find a stud. I have old lathe & plaster walls, which are much thicker than drywall --- and my beams didn't start until 13 and 1/4 inches from my corner, so I have some spackling to do. But my monitors actually cover them completely for now! The hardware the comes with it is great --- the screw bolts have a combined phillips and hex bolt head, so no worries about stripping.
I bought a new desk and the first think on my wish list was getting the monitor off the desk! My desk is mounted to my wall, floating, then two legs on the other end. So w wall mount that extends out would need to be strong and flexible. This mount is all that! Living in California, MANY of my things are secured to the wall as I have awoken to find a few things have shifted while including more than a few LCD screens. Being so wobbly seems like they design them that way on purpose! Two screws, a drill and a level were all I needed to set it up! I'm So happy with the outcome! Hope the pictures help! Cheeers!
I purchased this to mount the touch screen for my kitchen computer. With the frame I build for the monitor it is ~12 lbs currently. I haven't added the micro computer to it yet and I'm planning to stick a small speaker behind it as well, but it should come out less than 15lbs which is well below the rated weight limt. I had to adjust the gas spring tension some to get it to stick but so far it has been holding the monitor very well. The tilt joint also needed to be tightened slightly to prevent it from leaning forward but it was very simple. The design is nice, it seems like it is decent build quality so far I am very happy with it. My only complaint and it is a silly one, the base of the arm doesn't mount centered below the monitor VESA mount so it is slightly offset when pushed back against the wall, however this isn't a big deal at all
