This trash can is a must-have for people who love cooking! I love cooking fresh food. As you know, when you slice and dice things, you are left with bits and pieces and wet garbage that would start to stink in your kitchen trash bin. I keep a big trash bin under my sink, but I was constantly opening and closing it and touching the trash bin. It's not sanitary as you could cross contaminate with e coli, salmonella, or other nasty germs. Also, you would have to take out the trash a day or two after cooking since the trash would start to smell. I wanted a smaller kitchen trash can that I can empty out more frequently and that I can keep clean so that I won't touch the old trash. This works very well. I would hang one by the kitchen cabinet and drop trash as I slice and dice. The automatic lid is very easy and sanitary to use. You can push light with the back of your hand and drop the trash. I take out the trash out after I'm done cooking. No more smelly trash sitting in your big kitchen trash can. It's so useful that I want to buy another one and keep one next to my desk.
I hung it right on our cabinet door and it takes up like no space at all. And the lid is really cool! You just push it gently, it folds back, and it automatically snaps back closed after your hand leaves. You can also push it slightly down when folded all the way back, and then it'll stay fully open until you lift it up and back on the track to close. So super simple, but it's the answer to a big problem of ours. So happy!
I was fighting a fruit fly infestation from some fruit I bought, and needed a small trash can that I could put walmart bags in and put any trash that might draw them, and then throw it out each evening. I loved how easy the lid is to open and drop something in and it snaps back closed. It hangs so I don't have to bend over to drop something in (bad back)
Love this can. We needed something tiny for our small space, but that still closed so our dogs wouldn't get into it, and to help contain trash smells while on the road. It easily goes onto any cabinet door and the top comes on and off easily also to change out the bag or to put it away. It holds a grocery type plastic bag (the kind they put your groceries in) perfectly so we just use those rather than buy the small ones for it
This is the perfect out of the way trashcan for a small RV bathroom. I love that it is covered and that the lid can stay open if need be. However, it gets in the way in the kitchen because it does not clear the underneath sink compartment. If the design could include drop of the basket about 1/4 - 1/2 inch it would stow nicely inside a sink cabinet and be completely hidden and out if the way.
This is the perfect size for my intended use. It has an opening that is large enough for everything I put into it. I can use it in 3 different modes: quick flip of the lid, lock the lid, or remove the lid entirely. The unit can be easily moved to where you need it. Easy to empty, can use regular plastic grocery bags. Easy to clean. Well worth buying.
