This is the first handforged knife I have ever bought and I fell in love with it at first sight. It’s so beautiful. The hand hammering pattern is nothing like I have ever seen in a knife before. Absolute stunner!
This is a monstrous 12-inch long blade with a very premium wooden handle. The blade is razor-sharp and easily cuts through large cuts of meat. The blade does have indentations that allow easier passes through the meat. the handle is very ergonomically designed and is comfortable and easy to hold. I have invested in very expensive chef's knives and paring knives but this is a perfect slicing knife.
After using it for hours, the hand starts to pain. Otherwise, very good knife
This is probably the most beautiful knife I have ever used. It is super sharp as noted in many of the reviews for it. I have used it for a while now and haven't seen any sign of it dulling or decreased ability to perform its purpose. This knife slices through brisket, steaks, pork loin, tenderloin, and ham like slicing through butter.
I have a backyard smoker and cook briskets once or twice a month. This is the knife you need to get consistent, perfect slices.
First thing. The knife is long. . . I mean really long. I wasn't prepared for it. However, after some reading from other reviews I realized that the length enabled it to slice on one pull, so sawing action which can ruin a good slice is eliminated. Really worth the money and time.
Here in Texas, there are BBQ joints everywhere. They're as popular as Starbucks. And, in every self respecting BBQ joint, you will be able to watch as they slice your brisket, sausage, or ribs for your order. And, this is the kind of knife they use. I do a lot of my own wood-smoked BBQ. It's one of my passions. Nothing is more satisfying than taking this big dang knife and slicing through a brisket right out of the smoker. It's delicious. And, this is the way you cut it. Five stars!!!
Every grill master should try this knife out. You won't be disappointed.
