This camera is great. I'm an auto mechanic and I used a thermal camera for a long time. Used it to locate stuck relays causing parasitic draws, faulty wheel bearings, clogged radiators, defective seat heater grids, located which cylinder was misfiring by looking at the exhaust manifold. Well, that camera isn't around anymore. I had no idea how much I would miss my thermal camera. Then I came across this one. The high refresh rate makes a huge difference, the resolution is way better than my other one was, too. It has all of the features I would need. Setup was easy. I'm really happy with this camera.
I am able to see hot objects in the dark (too dark for bare eyes to see anything) and objects that wouldn't normally be visible (fresh footprints). With the manual focus ring, you can get a quite sharp image when properly focused. I am not totally sure how accurate the temperature reading is, especially if the object is not closeby. This camera does pick up reflections (e.g glass surface), possibly due to conventional camera + thermal overlay? Not exactly sure how this is handled by other products. Overall for what I am doing (seeing relative temperature and spot stuff invisible to bare eyes), this works great.
It works perfectly and the quality of the image is VERY impressive!!! I've owned many thermal imaging cameras and this by far exceeded my expectations. For camera its resolution is way better (384 x 288) than the FLIR VUE PRO 336-30Hz (336x256) which costs around $2,300. You’ll never find an excellent thermal imaging camera this cheap!
